“Piel de madera and the residue of an extension” is the link between me, a woodworker, and my creations. During the creative process, I feel an intimate connection with my creations. I become the wood and the object. Inevitably, this object begins to separate and struggle to exist within itself. Transformation is painful; my skin peels off itself to become an object and the object separates from my body to materialize in the world. This series consists of capturing, through photography, the moment of separation between me and my objects.
